Leaving The Studio
The quiet afternoon where finished panels are crated for an exhibition.
Studio life · 03:30Not every film is about making — this one follows a single quiet afternoon before an exhibition, panels wrapped in blankets and lowered into crates one at a time. There's no music and very little talking; mostly the sound of packing tape and the studio door opening and closing as pieces are carried out. It closes on the empty wall where the largest panel had been leaning for eight months.
Materials Used
Moving blankets, timber crates, packing tape — no artwork materials, just the studio itself.
The Finished Piece
The Studio, Emptied
No single piece — this film documents the room after five finished panels left for a show, the corner they'd occupied bare for the first time in months.
